PEEK 90G material describtion

PEEK 90G is a high performance thermoplastic material which is made from unreinforced polyether ether ketone (PEEK). In the form of semi-crystalline, deeply filtered granules designed for injection molding, it has excellent flowability. It meets FDA food contact standards, 90G color is natural/beige , 90G903 color is black, commonly used language extruded filament and then blended with carbon fiber to make continuous fiber composites. It can be used to make acoustic films as low as 5 microns thick, with excellent fatigue and creep resistance. Its excellent ductility and resistance to harsh chemical environments, as well as its suitability for sterilization, make it the material of choice for medical and food contact applications.

Mechanical Properties

  • Tensile Strength :peek 90g exhibits a tensile strength of 105 MPa at 23°C, a tensile elongation of 20% and a tensile modulus of 4.1 GPa.
  • Thermal Properties: Melting point is 343°C and glass transition temperature is 143°C.
  • MECHANICAL DATA: Tensile strength of 105 MPa, 20% tensile elongation, and 4.1 GPa tensile modulus at 23°C. Flexural strength of 130 MPa at 3.5% strain, yield strength of 175 MPa at 23°C. Flexural modulus of 3.9 GPa, and compressive strength of 130 MPa.
  • Thermal Data:
  • Melting point is 343°C, glass transition temperature (Tg) is 143°C.
  • FLOW: Melt viscosity is 90 Pa.s at 400°C.
  • OTHER: Density of crystals (1.30 g/cm³) and Shore D hardness (85) at 23°C and water absorption.

  • Dielectric strength (23 kV/mm at 2 mm thickness), comparative tracking index (150 V), loss angle tangent (0.004 at 23°C, 1 MHz) and dielectric constant (3.1 at 23°C, 1 kHz).
