Polyetheretherketone PEEK tube is a lightweight tubing, high-temperature ,high press thermoplastic plastic pipe .
The PEEK tube produced using PEEK continuous extrusion moulding technology solves the technical problems of high limit in molding process products and easy internal shrinkage holes in injection molding process, while reducing losses and machining costs.

PEEK Tube Material Grade

  • Characteristics:

Unfilled PEEK Pipe does not contain any fillers and has quite reasonable mechanical properties and good chemical resistance. The DLC-coated tool is ideally suited to high temperatures and its continuous use temperature can be up to 260 °C.

  • Applications:

Unfilled PEEK Pipe applicable to automotive and aerospace components electronic products, and medical equipment, which demand high mechanical strength and thermal stability.

  • Features:

Glass filled PEEK Pipe is a high-strength material with 30% glass fiber added to this material which substantially contributes to its rigidity, strength, and creep resistance.

It has also revealed more favorable values of heat deflection temperature and elastic modulus.

  • Application:

Glass filled PEEK Pipe applicable for productions that require high load and high-temperature systems such as mechanical components, structural components, and high-performance seals.

  • Features:

Carbon Filled PEEK Pipe also has the additives of 30% carbon filler which increases its stiffness and creep ability and also increases its thermal stability and strength. Its frictional characteristics are also tailored for the sort of rubbing work it is to do.

  • Application:

Carbon Filled PEEK Pipe applied in elements having less sliding velocity and also deep grooves, gears, piston rings, valve seats, and other subjects having high resistance to wear.

PEEK pipe Features

Lightweight

PEEK Pipes possess a relatively low weight, which is 65% lighter than stainless steel, 45% lighter than titanium, and 30% lighter than aluminum.

High-Temperature

Long-term use temperature: 250°C (continuous operation); short-term peak temperature: 300°C (chemically non-corrosive environment), heat deformation temperature (HDT): 160°C (under 1.8 MPa load), much higher than nylon (80°C) and PTFE (50°C)

Radiation Resistance

PEEK tubes have very good resistance to gamma radiation do not become brittle and are used where the operation is exposed to radiation.

Wear resistance

3×10^-6 mm³/(N·m), only 1/3 of nylon (10^-5)

low friction coefficient

0.2–0.3 (dry friction condition), close to PTFE tube (0.05–0.1), but more wear-resistant than PTFE tube

Insulation

Volume resistivity: 10^16–10^17 Ω·cm (at room temperature), 10 times that of PTFE;

Chemical resistance

In strong alkali, it is almost non-corrosive (weight loss < 0.05%); it is completely resistant to hydrocarbon solvents (such as gasoline and diesel) and does not swell.

Creep resistance

Under 150°C and 20 MPa continuous load, the creep of PEEK pipe after 1000 hours is < 1%.

Long work life

At 120°C and in a humid environment, the life of PEEK pipes is > 20 years, compared to PVC or rubber pipes: the life is only 3–5 years under the same conditions

  • Extrusion molding

In extrusion, PEEK tubes with a constant and defined cross section can be produced.

With the help of advanced extrusion technology, the molten PEEK tube is automatically extruded through the mold.
Due to the thermal expansion and contraction effect, the extruded pipe will have a certain tolerance.
At the same time, since the outer surface is first cooled and contracted, the inside is still at a high temperature, and it needs to be baked in a high-temperature oven at 260 degrees Celsius for more than 36 hours to ensure that the performance of the inside and the outside can be maintained.
