Sua fun\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 manter a tubula\u00e7\u00e3o ou o revestimento centralizados no po\u00e7o, evitando que pressionem a parede do mesmo.<br>O centralizador de PEEK n\u00e3o foi projetado apenas para absorver temperaturas de 210 \u00b0C no fundo do po\u00e7o, permitindo que a coluna de tubos deslize suavemente at\u00e9 a profundidade desejada. Mais importante ainda, ele garante que, durante a instala\u00e7\u00e3o de 3.000 metros de tubula\u00e7\u00e3o com um centralizador de PEEK, a carga no gancho seja minimizada em cerca de 15 a 20 toneladas em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com um centralizador de a\u00e7o.
